Company Policy, Enhanced Vetting for Domestic Staff

Beyond federal mandates, Vetdd.com implements comprehensive company-specific procedures to further enhance the safety and reliability of domestic staff placed through our platform.

General Vetting Principles

Premium Vetting, Once a user passes ID verification, we offer an optional Premium Vetting that includes:
• The SSN trace verifies name and address history via secure third-party vendors. Vetdd does not store or retain Social Security numbers. Any in -depth personal information beyond the profile is stored securely via our third party KarmaCheck.
• Nationwide Criminal Database Check, We conduct a nationwide criminal database check, which includes searches across publicly available federal-level criminal databases, counties previously resided in, as permitted by law.
• Sex Offender Registry Check,  Compliance and Disclosure: All checks are conducted with full awareness of candidates and adherence to varying state-specific hiring laws.
• Vetdd.com does not make hiring decisions or approve/deny employment. We simply indicate whether a candidate has successfully passed our optional background screening, as conducted by our third party KarmaCheck.  Upon passing screening candidates receive a badge that demonstrates they have completed this process.

Criminal Background Check

The primary objective of conducting criminal background checks is to safeguard the well-being of our users and ensure the utmost reliability of domestic staff. This measure is fundamental to building trust.

• We conduct thorough federal criminal background checks, designed to identify any convictions of federal crimes nationwide. We conduct nationwide criminal database checks via authorized consumer reporting agencies, designed to identify any convictions of federal-level crimes.
Additionally, our checks may include coverage of local criminal records from the candidate's current and previous residences, as available.
• Action for Criminal Records, Should a candidate have a filter from our screen partners for any past conviction, Vetdd simply discloses to them the information provided. We do not deny any candidate employment opportunities, however receiving a badge is dependent on clearing our vetting process and standards. The final hiring decision rests with the employer.

Questions for Candidates

As part of our detailed profile setup, candidates are presented with a series of questions designed to provide potential employers with additional, relevant information for their hiring decisions.

Responses to these questions will be transparently displayed on the candidate’s profile, allowing potential employers to make informed decisions based on their specific needs and requirements before engaging with a candidate.

• Questions include but are not limited to educational background, experience, personality attributes, etc.


Federal Law Requirements

Our vetting process strictly adheres to federal regulations.

All candidates are required to confirm their legal authorization to work in the United States during their profile creation and initial vetting process by affirming their legal status in our in-take.

I-9 Form Compliance

To verify identity and employment authorization for all U.S. hires, a non-negotiable federal mandate during the hiring process with the eventual employer.  Candidates for employment must be prepared to present further documentation at time of hire.

• Acceptable identification includes a valid driver's license, social security card, current U.S. passport, or official U.S. government work authorization documents.

Age Verification

To ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, and our company policy requiring a minimum age for all Vetdd platform workers.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Their entered birthdate during the application process is meticulously verified against provided identification documents.
• Candidates under 18 will not be permitted to proceed with their application. This age verification is a critical checklist item for our manual vetting team to prevent underage onboarding.

Candidate Information and Premium Vetdd Badge

• Candidate Privacy, Candidate information will not be sent directly to the employer. Instead, candidates who pass the background check will receive a Premium Vetdd Badge on their profile.
• Badge Significance: The Premium Vetdd Badge signifies that the candidate has met all the necessary legal and company standards, providing an additional level of trust for potential employers.

Standard Vetting Recognition Software

Our standard vetting process for every candidate on our platform meticulously includes:

• Identity and Age Confirmation: We precisely confirm that the candidate's provided birthdate and name align with their official identification along with their identification matching their real time image when creating their initial profile.
• Work Authorization Verification; For non-U.S.citizens, during creation of profile candidates must disclose their legal ability to be hired and substantiate at time of hire with fore knowledge of federal requirements.

Premium Vetting via KarmaCheck

Our Premium Vetting service enhances the level of assurance by incorporating all the stringent aspects of the standard vetting process, along with:

• Nationwide Criminal Database Check: We partner with industry-leading verification agencies to conduct an exhaustive comprehensive criminal background screenings, which may include searches across public criminal databases at federal, state, and local levels.

Candidate Privacy & the Premium Vetdd Badge

We are committed to protecting sensitive candidate information.

Vetdd does not store Social Security numbers or government-issued identification.  All sensitive information is handled directly and securely through our third-party verification partners, in compliance with FCRA and applicable privacy laws.

Detailed background check results are never directly shared with employers. Instead, candidates who successfully complete our comprehensive Premium Vetting process and meet all legal and company standards will receive a "Premium Vetdd Badge" on their profile.  This badge signifies an additional layer of trust and diligence, assuring potential employers that the candidate has undergone our most thorough vetting.

Scope of Vetdd's Vetting (What We Do Not Vet)

To maintain transparency, it's important to understand the aspects Vetdd.com does not vet. These responsibilities typically fall to the potential employer:

• Drug Tests, We do not conduct drug tests as part of our standard or premium background checks. This is the sole responsibility of the potential employer if required for a specific domestic staff role.
• Driving Records, We do not check driving records. Employers are responsible for verifying driving records if necessary for the position (e.g., for roles involving driving).
• Financial History, Our vetting process does not include checks for liens, debts, or bankruptcies. Our focus remains on criminal and identity verification.
• Other Personal Data, We do not investigate personal matters or conduct inquiries beyond what is strictly necessary for employment verification and criminal background checks. Our vetting focuses on professional suitability and safety.
